People Who Put Away Their Snowblowers Caused This Snow

April 12, 2007

Yesterday we got 3-8 inches of snow in SE Wisconsin. I know it's because my neighbors put away their shovels and snow blowers. I did not.

It was a heavy snowfall, which is pretty to look at but dangerous. Maybe Al Gore is right about global warming and the shift in climate. I know this will melt by the weekend.

My wife and son and I attended the Cleveland Indian, Los Angeles Angel game at Milwaukee's Miller Park last night. Tough travel but once we got in, it was Spring again. The cheesy organist played Christmas Carols. They gave away a Brewer 1982 World Series DVD to some guy from Cleveland. That was a BFD. The Angels won, but it was not very exciting. Neither team has many experienced stars, but either do the Brewers.

Our dog, Abigail, does not what to make of the snow. She was getting used to staying outside during the day.

Abby was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She was 2 years old on Valentine's Day. They do not mature quickly and we still consider her a puppy.

YankeeTeach, Day 1

YankeeTeach Blog Day 1 April 11, 2007

This is my first attempt at a blog. I am doing it for two reasons; I can and because occasionally I have things to say and no one to say them to.

Allow me to explain the title of my blog. My long time passion is following my New York Yankees. My current passion, since I retired is-teaching. I teach part-time at Waukesha County Technical College in the Business School. I also work full-time at the college in the Corporate and Community Training Department.

I am a state employee.....I get accrued sick days and snow days.

Today is April 11 and we are getting snow in Milwaukee. I am also going to a Cleveland Indian-Los Angeles Angel baseball game at Miller Park. The Commisioner moved it here because Cleveland got buried. WE have great seats and I am bringing my glove.....and I ain't giving any ball I catch to a kid.

I will talk more about my life in future blogs. I am insert a picture of my son, Lt Geoffrey L. Jackson is the United States Marine Corp. He is stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC. I am very proud of him.
